Today, our coach took us to Bowness for some leisure time by Lake Windermere. Our ferry tickets enabled us to cross the lake to Ambleside and Wray Castle, with the more active among us opting for a brief walk along the lakeside from Wray Castle to the Ferry House. As we started to cross the lake the wind turned a little chilly sending most below deck, whilst the more hardy ones stayed on deck but fastened up our coats. We arrived in Ambleside to a short rain shower which soon cleared to give us a pleasnat day. Afterwards, we returned to Bowness where our coach awaited to take us back to our hotel.
